F. JANE DURCAN, M.D.  


Dr. Durcan joined Spokane Eye Clinic in 2001.  Prior to joining the Clinic
staff, she was Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of
Utah.  In addition, she maintained a clinical and surgical practice at the
John Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dr. Durcan achieved her residency in ophthalmology at the University of
Utah Medical Center.  She continued her 
postgraduate training at the University of Utah Medical Center, the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England, and at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, completing a fellowship in glaucoma.

In 2001, Dr. Durcan was awarded the prestigious American Academy of
Ophthalmology Achievement Award.  She is board certified and is a member of
the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American
Glaucoma Society, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

Dr. Durcan was invited to lecture at the American Academy of Ophthalmology
meeting in 1997 and in the year 2000.  She has made numerous scientific
presentations to the Academy and to the American Society of Cataract and
Refractive Surgery. She has also published extensively in her field of
expertise.

She specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
