Spokane Eye Clinic [SEC] has opened a new Tri-Cities clinic to support local eye care providers and their patients with sub-specialty ophthalmology services. The clinic is located at 7301 West Deschutes, Suite A, in Kennewick.

The sub-specialty services offered initially include pediatric ophthalmology, vitreo and retinal disease including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and oculoplastics or surgery of the eye socket, eyelids, tear ducts, and the face. The following SEC physicians are available at the clinic on a weekly rotational basis for consultative eye examinations:

  • Jason H. Jones, M.D. – vitreous and retina
  • Nicholas T. Ranson, M.D. – oculoplastics
  • Robert S. Wirthlin, M.D. – vitreous and retina
  • Jeffrey D. Colburn, M.D. – pediatrics
  • Eric S. Guglielmo, M.D. – vitreous and retina

SEC is an independent eye care specialty practice delivering the most advanced, comprehensive and specialized services in eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest.

“Spokane Eye Clinic’s specialty physicians are travelling to the Tri-Cities to help local eye doctors meet patient needs closer to home,” said Dr. Alan Johnson, O.D., SEC’s Optometric Physician Liaison. “We have seen a considerable increase in demand for specialty eye care in the Tri-Cities area. A local clinic allows us to support medical professionals in the community where they practice and where their patients live.”

The new Tri-Cities clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can contact the clinic at 800-824-0664 (in Washington), 800-523-1384 (outside Washington) or visit the SEC website at www.spokaneeye.com

SEC’s physicians are all Board certified, and have the highest qualifications as measured by education, training, experience and certification. In addition, SEC’s ophthalmologists have completed fellowship training which involves additional study and practice beyond medical school and standard residency training. Each has a specialized area of expertise in a particular area of eye care.

The new Tri-Cities clinic marks the fourth location in eastern Washington for SEC, which has three centers in the Spokane region.

“The Spokane Eye Clinic is enthusiastic about bringing our specialty services to the Tri-Cities and being more accessible to the local eye care providers and their patients,” said Dr. Johnson. “This expansion is an investment in the future to serve the growing needs of patients across the region.”
