MITCHELL MAIER, O.D.  

Dr. Maier grew up in North Dakota where he received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1998 from North Dakota State University.  In 2002, he received his Doctor of Optometry, graduating with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. 

After graduation, he completed a one-year residency in Primary Care Optometry with emphasis in Geriatrics and Ocular Disease sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Spokane.  A portion of the residency program was completed at Spokane Eye Clinic, giving him specialty training in cataract, glaucoma, retina, strabismus, and corneal disease management.  

 He is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Cornea and Contact Lens Section of American Optometric Association, and Washington Association of Optometric Physicians.  His personal interests include golfing, skiing, hiking, gardening, fishing, and hunting.   

Dr. Maier joined the Spokane Eye Clinic team in 2003.  He provides comprehensive eye examinations, care for eye disease, contact lenses, and co-management of LASIK and cataract surgery.
