Minimum of 1 year related training and/or experience required. Responsibilities include: scheduling surgery, creating post-op appointments, providing pre-op instructions, sending medication orders, completing or collecting all relevant chart documentation, and educating patients. Must demonstrate compassion towards patients while utilizing strong verbal skills and professional attitude in responding to questions and/or concerns. Must exhibit willingness to offer assistance to physicians, co-workers and patients upon request. Applicants must be able to work at any of our 3 office locations in Spokane and must be comfortable working by phone and face to face with patients and coworkers. Strong computer, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills are required including the ability to type 40+ words per minute. Hours are 8-5, M-F.

Medical Appointment Scheduler

Job Type: Full-Time

Medical Appointment Scheduler needed at downtown/south location of Spokane Eye Clinic.
Spokane Eye Clinic is owned and operated by 26 physicians with 3 clinic locations in Spokane. We are in need of a full-time appointment scheduler and although we prefer one or more years of medical computer scheduling experience in a multi physician setting, we will consider applicants with exceptional customer service and computer skills. Must work well within a team environment and type 40+words per minute. Candidates with an understanding of medical/vision insurance and benefit information is preferred but not required. Responsible for the accurate scheduling of appointments via telephone on an electronic practice management system (Nextgen). Limited in person interactions with patients, most encounters are by phone. Heavy data entry and heavy call volume. Ophthalmic Clinical Technician

Ophthalmic Clinical Technician needed at Spokane Eye Clinic. The clinical technician is responsible for patient work-ups, visual acuities, pupils, refractions, medical history, chief complaint, scribing, etc. Previous ophthalmic technician experience preferred but we can train the right person with excellent customer service, attendance/punctuality and strong computer skills (including 40+ wpm). Must be detail oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We have 3 locations in Spokane (open 7am to 5pm) so reliable transportation is required as the position is rotational among them. Work schedule is Monday through Friday and start/end times vary along with length of work day (can be more or less than 8 hours per day). Most techs work approximately 38-40 hours per week.
